Tomato

 

This morning while eating my breakfast bagel on the deck I began to wonder how long it took tomatoes to ripen. You see, I bought a tomato plant at the greenhouse this spring that already had green tomatoes growing on it, and being a somewhat impatient person, I thought it had been long enough.


So, I wandered over to the plant and took a peek. Suprisingly, I saw a hint of red peaking out from under the beautiful green leaves. I got down a little closer and there it was, our first ripe tomato. What a great way to start the day!
